Did You Know?
You can lose 1/3 more weight if you resolve to exercise with friends!!
What a great excuse to get together with your friends, and get healthy at the same time!
Ideas:
Take a walk after dinner with friends in the neighborhood
Get together and walk your dogs together
Take the kids out for a stroll/nature hike
Get your partner or your friend to join a gym with you
Start taking a weekly exercise class with a friend
Go for a walk at lunch time with co workers
Plan a time once a week to walk, run, bike or whatever with your best friend
Pool your money and hire a personal trainer to help you together
Go to the beach or pool and swim laps together
Having someone to keep you on track is very helpful and effective! Whether it's your husband or wife, daughter or son, friend or neighbor, working together towards the same goal will allow you to help each other out, lean on each other, support and encourage one another!
Any other ideas??
Thanks for the great ideas!

Great ideas! After my surgery I coulnd't run, and had it not been for walking my dogs, I would have put on weight that I really didn't need.
ReplyDeleteYea, alittle everyday helps! I have to start going for a bike ride in the evenings again!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the follow today! I am now following you too!
ReplyDeleteAnd great tips about having a friend to exercise with!

Thanks for visiting my blog too! I have also found that exercising makes you lose more too. If that friend is going to meet you, you know you will show up. You can't talk yourself out of it.
ReplyDeleteDefinately thanks for visiting also! This idea is actually what got me off the couch in the first place! A friend of mine encouraged me to run a 5K in mid-Sept so hopefully I'll get to that point...
ReplyDeleteP.S. Your Blog header makes me hungry.
Good tips.
ReplyDeleteAnother one?
Get really mad at yourself for going up two sizes in jeans... no better incentive to get out there and exercise!
*sigh*
well...my resolve to take walks and stuff never last more than 2-3 days;). your header is way too delicious. newest follower. do follow back if you can. happy week!!
ReplyDeleteHi. Thanks for the follow. Im following back. My son and I are going to train for a 5k. We can bond and be heathly. Have a great Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteThose are really wonderful opportunities for extra exercise and time with friends. However, I tend to enjoy the break that exercising on my own offers me. After being a stay-at-home-mom of 5 for the last 22 years and homeschooling for 6+ of those years, I love these moments away. It's so liberating and gives me a chance to hear myself think!
ReplyDeleteThanks for following my blog!
well hey, this is perfect timing. My sisters and I are starting a weight loss/get healthy challenge on Monday. We're doing a blog about it, and the joint venture is going to keep us going. In theory. I'll let you know how it goes...
ReplyDeleteGood luck Lanie! If you make small changes everyday its easier that will become routine! I look forward to your progress!
